The FAI Primary School 5s is the biggest competition in primary schools’ soccer.  Local competitions  begin at the end of February or early March with Regional qualifiers taking place in April. The Provincial Finals  take place in late April while the National Finals are held in May at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin. There are seven sections to cater for all school sizes (small, medium, large and special schools). There are separate competitions for boys and girls but girls are permitted to play in the boys’ competitions.
