Clooney National School are proud to promote chess playing within the school. 
Chess provides another platform for our pupils to represent the school.


Our chess team had a brilliant time in Ennis NS on Wednesday, 22nd of February at the 
inaugural Féile Fichille Tournament. In total 232 students participated in the tournament 
each playing 6 rounds of chess each. Well done to Anna, Dan, George, James, Joshua, 
Mark, Penny and Peter who showed great respect and gamesmanship throughout the 
tournament.
