Music, song and performance are an integral part of school life in Clooney NS.
The school choir performs at various times throughout the year including religious ceremonies, charity events and Peace Proms.
In 2022.23 all pupils particpated in a 10 week Kids Ceol programme with Music Generation, thanks to funds raised by our wonderful Parents' Association. We loved our musical literacy sessions with Oisín O' Cualain. We worked on developing music skills such as:
• Beat
• Rhythm
• Pitch
• Improvisation/composition
• Singing (group/solo)
• Options on music reading
• Inner hearing
• Listening (Song/instrument
recognition)
• Music technology
